When it comes to people in your life, the ones you believe are worth much to you, appreciate them, put time into them. If you don’t, before you realize it, the people you have will become the people you had.
It is so easy to take the people in our circles for granted—especially those we love. We expect to always have them within reach, always be there to look to, always be there in the backdrop of happenings.
But with the blink of an eye, they go, they disappear, they’re no longer there. It is followed by a special loneliness, the type met with this simple fear, “What might have I done to appreciate their presence more?” and “What might have I done to make their presence last deeper, longer, stronger?”
Of the failures we withstand, this failure is most painful.
